Dr. Todd Baker
Originally from Wilson, North Carolina, Todd Baker moved to the low country in 2001 and took over ownership of Hanahan Veterinary Clinic in January 2003. Dr. Baker received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Appalachian State University (cum laude) and his doctor of Veterinary Medicine (cum laude) from University of Georgia in 1997. He lives in Hanahan with his two dogs, Knuckles and Curtis.
Dr. Laura Gerbec
Laura Gerbec, who hails from Chicago and Minnesota, moved to South Carolina in 2001. Laura received her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in 1989. She acquired her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1997 from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Laura thoroughly enjoys reading and spending time with her beloved cats and dogs.
Dr. Elizabeth Nunn
Dr. Elizabeth Nunn is originally from Charleston, W.V. She graduated from West Virginia State College with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1996. She then graduated summa cum laude from Tuskegee University of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama in 2001. She has lived in Mt Pleasant, SC since graduating. She has worked for several years in emergency clinics locally as well as in general practice for small animals. She shares her household with her two canines Tippy and Tortilla plus one feline Spotacus, who is a former blood donor.
Tasha Hill
Practice Manager
Tasha has been in veterinary medicine since 1999. A graduate of Hanahan High School class of 2000 she continued her education at Trident Technical College. Joining the HVC team in 2007 she serves as the head receptionist and office manager. In her down time she enjoys being on the lake in the summer months and warming up from the winter by bonfire.
Lisa Brown
Senior Technician
Lisa Bowick has been in the veterinary field since 1992. After a brief stint as an Animal Control officer on Folly Beach, she came to HVC to serve as senior technician when Dr. Baker took ownership in 2003. Living on 7 acres in Adams Run, Lisa enjoys trail riding and tending to her horses, goats, dogs and cats.
Michelle Green, LVT
Treatment Manager
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Michelle Green is a graduate of the Trident Technical College Veterinary Technical Program. She joined HVC in 2007 and is currently the treatment/technician manger. In her down time she loves water sports and hanging out with her 3 felines.
Kayleigh Brown, LVT
Surgery Technician
A graduate of Medaille Collage of Veterinary Technical Program class of 2010, Kayleigh Brown moved to Hanahan, South Carolina from Rochester, New York to better serve our pet community and be with family. She enjoys reading, listening to music and playing with her cat Elijah.
Maddie is a current student at Hanahan High School. She joined Hanahan Veterinary Clinic in October 2011 as an assistant to our boarding kennel. Maddie has always had an interest in animals and their care. Maddie enjoys playing softball, listening to music, and spending time with her pets, Mike, Asja, Finn and Ziva.
Rachael Brooks
Rachael joined the HVC team September 2013 as a receptionist. Hailing from Avlington, VA and graduating from Walton High 2006 and she is currently pursuing her veterinary technician license at Trident Technical College. Rachael enjoys playing sports of all kinds and baking her favorite dessert of cake. In her down time Rachael spends time with her pets; Keefer, Rowland, Doodles, and Cooper.
